Reporting directly to the Partners this is a roll your sleeves up general practice role where you will be dealing with the basic work alongside the more complex so it will suit someone who enjoys this type of variety. There will be supervision of junior staff and regular client contact which requires the ability to deal professionally with people at all levels.
There are prospects for future progression as the firm starts to plan for succession, which will start to open up new opportunities. That said, it is not a prerequisite that you want that progression to secure the role.

We are recruiting for an ACA / ACCA finalist or qualified Senior to work closely with one of the Partners in managing a portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders and partnerships to small limited companies with turnover typically being no higher than £10m.
Working alongside the Partner you will be involved in dealing with clients and in time will progress towards managing this established client portfolio. There are long term prospects for progression to Partnership, though it is not an essential aspiration for securing the role.
The role will combine client and staff management so experience in these areas would be preferred and in particular to have the ability to deal with clients directly. The client requirements will largely be in respect of audit, accounting and tax.
Initially you will be taking on a role to assist with maintaining the portfolio but will be involved in business development in due course as you assist with the long term development of the firm.
The Person You will be an ACA / ACCA finalist or qualified with a General Practice background and experience in dealing with the audit, accounting and tax requirements for small Owner Managed Businesses.
There is flexibility in the role and the firm can accommodate a finalist looking for a step up to senior level or an experienced senior. It is a varied and interesting role which will provide considerable client exposure and also the opportunity to get involved in other areas such as Forensic Accounting.
