Finance Business Partner (projects), ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified, 12 month FTC, Milton Keynes to £60,000

We are working closely with a highly reputable and well-established organisation who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their head office team and support a number of projects over the next 12 months.

As Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate and incisive reporting, you will work closely with a number of departments within the business, to help them to understand and improve the financial reporting and business performance of their projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Providing effective commercial procedures/change processes to deliver to required targets
  • Business planning & performance tracking
  • Effective financial reporting to drive forward business strategies
  • Financial Risk Management

Extensive experience of finance business partnering within a large group of stakeholders is essential to be considered for this opportunity.

You must be confident in your approach and you will be ready to challenge performance and existing ways of working to identify opportunities for improvement. You will need to be  ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified Accountant and a confident communicator with strong presentation skills.

The role is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of international sets of books and records. Other responsibilities include;

  • Daily, monthly and year end functional accounting duties
  • Submit balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Manage US GAAP reporting
  • Liaise with International and US external auditors

Our client, a highly successful local financial services business, established for 30 years are looking to appoint a Health & Safety manager. The Health and Safety Manager would be responsible for all Health and Safety aspects within the business, developing, maintaining, monitoring and coordinating Health and Safety policies and procedures across all divisions. Supporting all areas of the business to develop their commercial operations, ensuring employee safety whilst enabling the business to deliver a practical maintenance provision model to their customers.

  • Ensure compliance to health and safety regulations by all employees of the business; providing the necessary training and ongoing meetings to assist the employee.
  • Ensure equipment in all sites are installed safely and maintained to the necessary standard.
  • Undertake risk assessments and site inspections. Identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks.
  • Keep up to date the safe operational practices ensuring adherence to any changes in legislation.
  • Ensure all First Aider and Fire Marshall responsibilities are carried out as per agreed policy and procedures.
  • Recording and investigating incidents, accidents and complaints, and cases of ill health.

  • Pass and maintain the requirements of the Relevant Regulator’s “fit and proper test” as required.
  • Adhere to the Individual Conduct Rules as part of the Senior Managers Regime/ Certificate Regime. Attend training courses as required to enable you to develop your skills and knowledge through continuous professional development.
  • Management responsibilities for the Control of Contractors within any site.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in a commercial or engineering workshop environment with a hands
    on approach
  • Strong analytical problem solving and organizational skills
  • Being qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Being qualified in NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Hold a IOSH Managing Safety Certificates (or equivalent)

Your duties as the Debt Recovery Assistant will include:

  • Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all chasing activity
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with branches.
  • Support other members of the Debt Recovery team if required to ensure all daily Debt Recovery functions are carried out should staff be on holiday/sick leave

As a Client Services Assistant your main purpose will be to deliver a professional client service to clients, Investee Companies and Third Party Administrators, ensuring that all necessary administration, client communication and reporting is carried out to a high standard.  Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of client paperwork in respect of new investments
  • To update all client records and internal systems post completion of an investment
  • Processing of AML documentation for new clients and ensuring these records are kept up to date
  • Preparation of payment sheets using Excel for client payments
