Fantastic opportunity for a commercial Finance Analyst to join an established and well known company to provide finance business partnership to operational managers and finance.

Working within distribution operations, your role as Finance Analyst is to provide analysis of operating costs for this multi-site business with commentary and explanation to finance and non-finance, producing business cases for capital and operational investment, including cost/benefit planning.

The Finance Analyst is a key role in the finance team that is responsible for supporting the operational side of the business across a wide range of areas. This includes overseeing the capital expenditure approval process, maintaining external relationships with suppliers, and providing support to all areas of the business through accurate reporting and management accounting. The role assists the senior finance team in minimising risk and mitigating costs, thereby improving cash profit.

The role is accountable for the production of capital project justifications and reporting the success or otherwise of capital projects.

The role would suit a qualified level accountant or qualified by experience within an operational capacity. Strong communication skills are required, as you will hold meetings and presentations with managers at all levels, and advanced Excel will also be necessary as there will be extensive modelling/spreadsheet manipulation required in the role.
