Following a recent restructure and internal promotion, our client, a well known community based charity, has a new opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their busy head office accounts department.
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the finance team, with 4 staff reporting in to you covering all aspects of the bookkeeping and ledgers, whilst you will be more involved yourself with preparing management accounts, dealing with multiple budget holders, balance sheet reviews and monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
Working closely with the Finance Director, you will also be assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts, in compliance with charity reporting requirements.
As such, we are looking for a strong technical Accountant with staff management experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team, and confident communication skills to effectively explain the financials to non-accountants at all levels across the organisation. Whilst we are ideally looking for someone who is part way through, and progressing with, ACCA or CIMA qualification, we would also welcome CVs from Qualified by Experience Accountants who have worked at a similar level in an SME environment.
