Management Accountant – Northampton

Management Accountant, Northampton, £40,000 + Benefits

The Role

An exciting, challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team within this unique events brand based in Northamptonshire.

As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the preparation of management accounts, the production of financial reporting, expenditure and revenue management and effective business partnering with other departments to ensure the business continues to operate successfully. This individual needs to be resilient and open to taking on new challenges, whilst engaging with key stakeholders in the business to understand how current processes operate.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices and event day payments to support Payroll
  • Producing comparison and variance reports to encourage growth via promotions
  • Bank reconciliations coding relevant income and expenditure
  • Producing and delivering financial presentations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ad-hoc tasks including ticket sales reporting, variance analysis
  • It is essential that you are comfortable managing the management accounts process from start to completion as this will be your responsibility in this position.

The Candidate

The ideal individual will be a confident communicator who is pro-active, who can adhere to required deadlines, whilst understanding the needs of the senior management team.  It will be essential that you are proficient in MS Office and in particular Excel, to enable you to fulfil the demands of this position. You will occasionally be asked to support on various events days at the weekends to reconcile transactions and record revenue accordingly.
